The temple remains open with limited hours, if you need spiritual guidance, please contact the priest and he will be able to conduct certain prayers and rituals remotely.
When you visit the temple please follow the distancing guidelines, and stay apart from the other devotees who may be present, please do not bring any cooked food for offering prasad.
Due to the current Covid-19 (Novel Coronavirus) pandemic, we are concerned with its impact on our community.
After understanding the recommendations of various government and health authorities we have determined that the the temple will remain open as it servers the community and strengthens those who need to pray. The Aarti’s will continue as per their usual schedule. Although the temple will be open, we request that you do not bring any cooked food for Prasad, fruits are welcome.
We will continue to monitor the situation and will update you as there are any impactful changes with the virus.
The Alberta Government has placed a restriction on events and gatherings with more than 15 individuals. Due to the current situation, we generally have less than 15 devotees attending aarti or other prayers at a given time, as such, we feel that closing the temple is not necessary.
As a form of precaution, we recommend that you maintain social distance from others, and use good judgement. If you or a member of your family is sick, we respectfully request you to stay at home. The same goes , if you or your family members returned from any international travel in the past 3 weeks.
Here is some information and recommendations that we have gathered:

Sri Dattatreya Pallaki Seva : Every day at Ganagapur, Pallaki Seva (Palanquin of the Lord Datta) of the Lord Datta takes place around 7:30 pm to 8:30 pm, The Palanquin Circumambulates the Temple along with Chanting, Singing, and Bhajans, hymns in praise of the Lord Datta and the Devotees performing this seva have an opportunity of sitting in front of the Deity of Shri Datta (Utsav Murti which will be kept in Pallaki) exquisitely decorated with Flowers. Devotees performing the seva take a position of Saashtanga pranama. Pallaki will move on top of them.
