Schedule for Durga NavRathri Celebrations

During the celebrations Navaratri’s  the goddess  will be decorated  in different avtars of the Shakti. If you wish to sponsor the decorations for a day, a donation of $300 will be appreciated. Sponsors please bring some prasad for evening offering and distribution.  A portion of your
sponsorship will be used towards a food donation at the Calgary drop-in center.

devotional songs on any evening.

October 17,Wednesday – Gayathri Devi

7:30pm – Lalitha Sahasranama stotram chanting followed by

Chanting of the Gayathri Mantra 108 times and Arathi.

Sept 23 – Sunday -Holisitic Kids Camp.

Once again this year, Guruji Pattabhiram and Smt Jyothi Pattabhiram from Sadhana Sangama Trust, Bangalore, are coming to Calgary.

Sadhana Sangama  Holistic Society and Sri Anagha Datta Society of Calgary   are jointly organizing  a  “Kids- Holistic Personality Development Camp”, on 23rd September, Sunday.    The facilitators are Guruji Pattabhiram and  Smt. Jyothi Pattabhiram, directors of Sadhana Sangama  Trust , Bangalore.

Similar to last year, this would be a wonderful platform for kids to  experience and indulge in various activities like Yogasanas,  Chanting Mantras, Arts and Crafts etc.,

Venue :  Kingsland Community  Centre, 504 , 78th Avenue SW, T2V  0T3.

Date :    23rd September 2012, Sunday.

Programme Timing :  8.30 AM to 5 PM.    Breakfast and Registration starts from 7.30 AM.  Parents can drop off starting from 7.30 am.

Cost per Child :  $60.00  .  Cost  includes, Breakfast, Lunch and refreshments.

All Proceeds go to Sadhana Sangamga Trust.

May 26 – A Devotional Evening

On Saturday May 26, 2012, Abhishek Raghuram, the renowned musical prodigy is set to enthrall us with his vocal rendition of Carnatic music. He is ably accompanied by Vittal Ramamurthy on Violin and Trivandrum V. Balaji on Mrudangam.

April 6 – Hanuman Jayanthi

Hanuman Jayanti or Hanumath Jayanti is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Hanuman, the Vanara god, widely venerated throughout India. It is celebrated on the 15th day of the Shukla Paksha, during the month of Chaitra (the Chaitra Pournimaa).

Hanuman is an ardent devotee of Lord Rama, and is worshipped for his unflinching devotion to the god. From early morning, devotees flock Hanuman temples to worship him

March 31st – Sri Rama Navami

Rama Navami (राम नवमी) also known as Sri Rama Navami is a Hindu festival, celebrating the birth of Lord Rama to King Dasharatha and Queen Kausalya of Ayodhya. Lord Rama is the 7th incarnation of the Dashavatara of Vishnu. The SreeRama Navami festival falls in the Shukla Paksha on the Navami, the ninth day of the month of Chaitra in the Hindu calendar. Thus it is also known as Chaitra Masa Suklapaksha Navami, and marks the end of the nine-day Chaitra-Navratri celebrations.
